SCICEX Web Portal

(July 2010) The new SCICEX Phase II Science Plan is available for download from the U.S. Arctic Research Commission.

This SCICEX web portal is intended to provide:
1) a central site for public information about past and future opportunities for scientific use of submarines in the Arctic, and
2) a work area for SCICEX working groups.

The Science Ice EXercise (SCICEX) program has provided two types of access to U.S. Navy submarines operating under the Arctic sea ice: Dedicated missions and accommodation missions. Accommodation missions are guided by an updated Memorandum of Agreement.
